Sunday’s best #3

Maison de Grand Esprit US launch - www.liveloveblu.com

Hello friends!

I don’t know about you, but Daylight Saving kicked my butt! I fell asleep around 2:00am while reading Crazy Rich Asians, (I’m finally finished) my dogs went to bed pretty early so at 4:00am Phat-Phat was ready to go outside and then Monty at 5:00am!

Sheesh!

I was up for a good 2 hours before my eyes closed for a wee nap. Of course, my dogs decided 8:00am is the latest they were willing to let me sleep in!

To be honest, adjusting to the time change has me feeling a little jet lagged, so I’m glad I got some more magnesium to help me sleep well at night. How are you adjusting?

So let’s get into it.

Sunday’s Best

A toast: During the summer I had the honor of attending the US launch event for Maison de Grand Esprit. Their rosé is pretty brilliant and worth toasting the 104 women who gained seats in the US house. Representation matters.

Kinda stalking: Shavonda Gardner is an interior designer I follow on Instagram and last week she took part in the One Room Challenge. In 6 weeks she completely transformed the only bathroom in her home into something you’d fall in love with if you stayed in a boutique hotel! See her reveal, here!

I’m reading: I’ve started reading Still Me by one of my favorite authors, Jojo Moyes. I don’t want to give away the premise of the third book because you need to start from the beginning with, Me Before You a difficult romance story wrapped in self-love. Here’s what you can expect from her final book in this series.

“Still Me offers a warm conclusion to the Me Before You trilogy. . . resulting in the best entry in the trilogy yet. . . Moyes has crafted a clear-eyed tale of self-discovery and the sacrifice required to live a life honestly in pursuit of the things you love. [It will] keep you sighing with delight to the very last page. A.”—Entertainment Weekly (online)

“While the series may have started off as a romance, Jojo Moyes has turned Louisa Clark’s story into one about learning to be, and to love, yourself.” —Bustle

In the Stars: The Hood Healer is one of my top 5 people to follow on Instagram. Throughout the day she goes live and pulls out her tarot cards and does readings for each zodiac sign. For my sign, Cancer, she explored the need to let go of a karmic relationship.

Okay, I feel seen!

Some other things she said:

  • You have miracles and dreams waiting on you.
  • You have difficulty in maintaining boundaries to protect yourself.
  • You’re holding yourself back by letting negative circumstances and people plague your life, so you have something to blame for your lack of progress and productivity.

I’ll say this. I do believe in astrology, but not in the read my horoscope every single day way or I won’t date this sign because we aren’t supposed to be compatible way, (unless you’re a Libra. The third time was NOT a charm! lol

I do think our signs give us reasonable insight into ourselves. If the message resonates with you, it gives you an opportunity for self-love and self-improvement. If it doesn’t resonate with you, you’ve lost nothing, right?

Everything The Hood Healer said resonated with me.

Would you ever go for a psychic reading?

Anyways, cheers to the new week!

Go be great. Make good decisions!

If you wanna share one or two of your own offerings as I did above, please do!
